This session will include an overall description of the new eXtension precision agriculture Web site. eXtension is an interactive learning environment delivering the best, most researched knowledge from land-grant university across America. Session participants will learn about the Website, and how to participate in the continued site development.
The precision agriculture eXtension Web site is a virtual platform for engagement of university professionals, industry leaders, and agricultural and horticultural producers in precision agriculture technology. The precision agriculture site is a resource area on the public eXtension site at:

The precision agriculture community of practice (CoP) represents United States land grant university, industry and precisions agriculture farm leaders. The leadership team members have indicated a desire to commit their expertise to develop and maintain a precision agriculture Website usable for all levels of the industry.
Leadership team members are responsible for specific content areas for the precision agriculture resource area. Other team members are responsible for the Ask the Expert and Frequently Asked Questions areas.
The eXtension precision agriculture goal is to provide a Web platform for any level of the industry to use for research, educational and informational efforts, and to provide a platform for interaction among all levels of the industry. The existing site includes research, educational, and instructional materials from university, industry and from those engaged in applying precision agriculture technologies. The site includes a variety of types of materials including feature articles, frequently asked questions, and slide and video instructional clips.
